How clinic information is researched

Every clinic’s entry in a guide — its Google rating, accreditations, years in operation, and, when available, a Trustpilot rating — is compiled from publicly available sources: the clinic’s own website, public business registries, Google Business Profiles, Trustpilot, and public accreditation registries such as JCI’s directory or an ISO certification body. We do not accept paid submissions, and a clinic cannot edit its own entry.

What we don’t claim

BestDoctorTurkey is not a medical publisher. Some guides are checked for medical accuracy before publication by a named physician, who is credited at the top of that page; a guide without that credit has not been reviewed, and says so. No ranking is ever reviewed (its order comes from the formula alone), and nothing here is medical guidance. See our medical disclaimer for detail. We compile and present publicly available information; we do not independently verify medical outcomes, and a clinic’s presence in a guide is not an endorsement.

Paid articles, and what money cannot buy

This site can publish articles an advertiser has paid for. Each one is labelled as paid above its headline, before you read a word of it, and sits on its own page rather than among the guides. What an advertiser buys is publication: one article, which they write or approve.

What no payment buys, at any price: a place in any ranking, an entry in any list, a mention inside a guide, a score, or a doctor’s byline. A medical reviewer’s name on copy an advertiser controls would present paid promotion as clinical review, so the front matter that would attach one is refused and the build stops. Paid articles are not filtered out of the rankings, the guide indexes, the homepage or the sitemap — there is no route by which they could reach any of them, and a test publishes a real paid article and proves the editorial pages cannot see it.

Payment is per article, never per patient, per enquiry or per referral, so nothing about who pays can change where a reader is sent. Paid pages carry noindex, and every link to the advertiser is marked rel="sponsored nofollow". Paid content is published in English and German only, never in Turkish.

Rankings are separate from editorial judgement

Where a page shows a ranking, its order is generated entirely by the fixed formula described at /how-we-rank, applied identically to every clinic. Editorial judgement plays no role in scoring or ordering, and no clinic can pay for inclusion, for a higher score, or for a better position.

Our medical reviewers’ declarations

All five of this site’s medical reviewers have something to declare, and there are three kinds of it. Doç. Dr. Can İlker Demir appears in the face-lift ranking, Doç. Dr. Vahit Mutlu in the obesity surgery ranking, Prof. Dr. Olcay Güler in the limb lengthening ranking, and Dt. Bora Murat in the dental ranking. Op. Dr. Erol Bozbora appears in no ranking — this site publishes none for voice surgery — but he performs the operation described in the guide he reviewed, which is both what qualifies him to review it and a competing interest; the same is true of Prof. Güler. And the third kind is ours rather than theirs: this site’s owner has worked with Prof. Güler on limb lengthening cases. We state all of it ourselves rather than waiting for someone to find it. None of them has access to the scoring formula or the data behind it; the formula is published at /how-we-rank and every position is computed from Google and Trustpilot figures, so no reviewer can move his own place. The review covers the medical accuracy of the guides, never the rankings.
